Art and Photographic Competition of the Gathering at Chaaya Village with the Funday Times News PaperChildren between 06 & 12 years of age are invited to participate in these two events. Chaaya Village and Funday Times will conduct an Art and Photographic competition beginning May 2008.
Kids are also expected to write an essay of not more than 250 words about the Gathering and submit their drawings and photographs to aunty Hiranthi at the Funday Times.
Overall winners will be selected by early August. The six children who are picked get to spend their vacations at Chaaya Village along with their families, and will experience the Gathering at Minneriya National Park.
(Winners will be selected every month in the months of May, June and July, and the children and their families will get to spend their vacations at Chaaya Village and experience the Gathering at Minneriya Park.)
A half page educational article will be given by Chitral about elephants which will be published in the Funday Times. A special page on the Chaaya Village Website will also carry information on the gathering.
